Hello how are you guys doing today my name is black tarzan and today we are going to be going over the top 10 facts about frozen! Coming up! 'Shrek' means 'monster' in Yiddish. The story is loosely based on a 1990 picture book. At the time of the publication of the Shrek! picture book, cartoonist William Steig was 83 years old. He died two years after the first movie was released. Eddie Murphy voiced donkey. Chris Farley was originally cast in the title role. In fact, the actor had already completed approximately 90 percent of the dialogue before he passed away in 1997. Mike Myers was later brought in to replace him. Nicholas Cage turned down the role of Shrek. The movie took four and a half years to complete using computer animations. Donkey was modeled after a real miniature donkey in Palo alto, California. The movie was initially going to be made in Claymation. Yet, after realizing how difficult it would be to make a full-feature length using this technique, DreamWorks opted to use computer animation.
